Walnut handbrake handle

Hello and happy new year to all of the community! So, as we enter the new year I want to treat myself a little bit haha and decided to replace my handbrake handle with a wooden one but as far as I know a original one is very hard or almost impossible to find and if you do, it's quite expensive, but I also heard that a Freelander one would do the job, are here any how to's on how to do it (I think it would take some changes to be made and hence my question) and maybe some places where I can find one?

Yes the original one is almost impossible to find.

The freelander one needs the plastic insert removing (from memory about 1 min in the microwave to loosen the glue and it pulls out).

When fitting use some insulating tape on the metal handbrake lever as the freelander one is a tiny bit larger than the 75. The release button doesn't stick out as far as it would have before, but is perfectly usable.

They had them made up to same spec. though, rather than being an actual original one .

Hmm 80 quid quite pricey, can't we find one from a Freelander or Range P38 and retrofit it?

1. Quick delivery
2. Fitted in seconds
3. Exact match
4. Looks & feels sexy as hell !

Yes they are pricey, & Freelander/RangeRover ones might be cheaper, but Im very happy with mine !

Yes not much difference between them considering the the Rover one does not require any modification to fit.

The days of the cheap freelander walnut grips is well gone and you have the worry about damaging it when your trying to get it it to fit.

Get the one of ebay, its a nice item.
