Occasional limp mode
Evening all,
Looking for suggestions as to what is causing an occasional 'flat spot/limp mode' on a 51 Plate 75 Club CDT Tourer auto which occurs when starting from warm. Have just done 1,000 plus miles in the last week in France and the car has been fine after overcoming the 2 to 5 minute limp mode. Engine warning light is on during limp but clears itself when the throttle becomes active again. Fault codes are: 0100 - air mass meter, 0220 - accelarator potentometer PGS, 0235 - boost pressure sensor, and 1E55 - Supply Vf. pedal-tr, Boost pressure sensor, air mass meter. Car is returning 40 mpg, just under and has 295k on the clock. Suggestions as to what to replace are welcome. |

Have a check to see if your ecu has got wet, or the wiring under the ecu is damaged.

Thanks for responses, after reading Brian's suggestion and taking a closer look at the plenum damp could be the problem. I had the car into a T4 in St Albans who cleared the faults and tested the car for about 10 miles with no problems before my recent trip but they did say the ECU board had slight areas of corrosion, but not anything that looks worrying.
I will PM Brian re having the ECU checked out. |
