Default New Clutch and Solid Fly

Hi All,
I took a bit of a gamble and decided to go for a solid flywheel and uprated clutch for my CDTI ZT.
I had fitted a pretty much standard clutch previously, but it didn’t last very long before it started to slip again with 170bhp returning around 330 foot/lbs torque at 2500-3000 revs.
This kit works and all my power is back! Smooth, No noticeable vibration, even when crawling along.
Thought it was worth a mention. I got the kit from Lancashire/on the bay at a very reasonable cost.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264251604034
I got the kit for 250.00 delivered with cheeky offer that I didn’t expect them to accept.
Regards
Rich

Interesting. How many miles did the previous clutch last by the way? What clutch and slave was it?

Within 12 months. To ease my situation when accelerating I dropped a wheel size to reduce the torque required. Dont get me wrong you could drive round normally with not too many issues until you try apply any power in higher gears.

I would start saving for a replacement, have a look at trust pilot, 89% 1star which is not good.

okay ...
Only time will tell. If the parts I received are fake, then they did a blooming impressive job!

I only added the thread because I was very sceptical about fitted a solid flywheel. Now I’m not.

Pot luck with a lot of parts these days , some are good fakes others are that bad they are noticable straight away.
As you say time will tell , keep them fingers crossed
