Morning all, Misty & murky out there. What a night! The boiler let go last night & flooded the airing cupboard where it lives, soaked all the clothes in there & the bedroom carpet, Fuses blown. Got the water & gas turned off in the thing. It's been problematic since it was installed new around six years ago, the first day it failed when it was fitted by the potterton engineers & needed new parts & circuit board straight out of the factory, I should have told them then that I didn't want it repaired & want a new replacement unit.

Going to need to find our thermals as getting a replacement condenser boiler at this point in time is not on the cards.

Good morning Ian

I am sorry you are having to go through this, this is the last thing you need with everything else going on,

When I had trouble with our boiler in Bristol a few years ago, Stocktake gave me some excellent advice on how to proceed as he is very knowledgeable about boilers and anything related. If you get stuck, drop him a pm.

It would, just ignore the extra core, cut it back at both ends of the run so it can’t short out against the two cores you use .

Day off today , back to work tomorrow

Just back from another session at Christies, Chucking it down here now. I went a different way to Salford because of roadworks & noticed the "under review" CAZ signs had been erected since the last time I went that way They'll be everywhere before much longer.

Hi Rich, Yeah pain in the backside with this condenser boiler breaking down especially at this time of year & flooding the bedroom,
I'm not sure I want this thing repaired as it's had lots of repairs over the six years from new, I might as well bite the bullet & get another, I've got a couple of oil filled electric radiators in the shed that I can use for the time being.

Cool

Good afternoon everyone.

Damp and misty here, been like it all day.

First job of the day was to prepare a Turkey casserole in the slow cooker.

Zoom meeting this morning with the diabetes team.

Then took Banana to Par Market to get the meat supply then drove home via Callington to get my shopping from Tesco’s.

Broke the meat down into bags and filled the freezer up.

Looking forward to the casserole.

Going to spend all day tomorrow on the Lotus build.

Many thanks to those who wished us a happy anniversary yesterday, a thanks button would have been handy

We went to an international eat all you can buffet restaurant in Edinburgh. Trouble is with my current health and appetite all I had was some fried rice with sweet and sour chicken and struggled to finish it. When we used to go there in the past I’d be at the counters several times but I have little or no interest in food now

There was nine at the meal, five came back to ours after, three stayed the night, planned. I left them to it about 1am, I can’t do late nights now.
