Ive had a montego turbo and i would hasten a guess that they are faster than the 0-60mph states.
Ive been in a sierra cosworth and my old montego was easily as quick. You have to remember that the montego weighed nothing compared to the sierra. I have some old booklets on the montego turbo and they certainly are a car that would appeal to me again in the future |

Back in my MGB days, I was having some work done and the garage lent me a MG Maestro that they had taken as a part ex.
Ended up buying it It was meant to be a stop-gap, but it was a great car. OK, no street cred, as it had the special lightweight bodywork (using rust to enhance the power to weight ratio) I was sad to see it go, someone stole it off the drive when on holiday

In 2010 my nephew had a red Montego Turbo that his wife just had to have then didn't like. he had an awful job selling it again and it was in nice condition too. I did briefly think about trying to get it off him but that's as far as it went....................................... thinking about it.

I had a go in one many years ago, bonkers performance for the time, shame that so few remain.
