I am answerable to no one .All this thanking for a delivery of parts is ridiculous .Do you thank every supplier you use on an open forum everytime they deliver something you have paid for .The internet would be jammed solid .I am entitled to my opinion same as you are .That is my opinion .Maybe it would be best if this is closed .
Why should it be closed ?Because you've exposed yourself as having nothing good to say as usual ?It's all a bit boring really .Excuse my punctuation ,I'm just trying to be inclusive and accepting .

I have dealt with Mat in the past for parts for my 75, and have been delighted with speedy deliveries, and the prices I have paid

Great Stuff Good to hear that .Nice recommendation .
All I was doing was highlighting the fact that some people had waited for weeks .Had had emails and pm,s unanswered and had no means of contacting him as the methods provided were not proving fruitful .Is it really a crime to speak up for people who were without transport and at that time were getting nowhere .However after all hell broke loose miraculously he appeared to start becoming apologetic and started sorting out peoples problems .Not an ideal way to get results .But was obviously the only way .

I can understand that, think the problem is Mat is a one man band, I know it could be frustrating if you do not have a contact telephone number, but he is a genuine supplier and if you use him in future, I hope you have the service I have been given.

Well Mat shines through yet again, parts ordered three days ago and arrived today and that’s in the Highlands & Islands postcode area

Surely, the courier deserves some praise for this, or did Matt personally drive up to the Highlands to make sure that the parts were delivered in record time?

Perhaps some of you chaps and chapesses should recognize that not everyone wishes to sing the DMGRS hymn song every morning. Perhaps others can see or have seen beyond what you can?

I've bought quite a few bits from DMGRS. Out of 10+ orders, one was slightly delayed due to a shipping container going missing. Everything else has been delivered in a few days, usually cheaper than elsewhere.

Get out of the mindset that you're buying Mondeo parts from Euro Car Parts. You're not. You're buying from a guy who is one of our own, who goes out of his way to supply stuff that nobody else is interested in touching, and who generally does a very good job of it. Example, try taking a bust droplink back to EPC for replacement and see how long they laugh at you for.

Some short memories here, some woeful attitudes too. It's not perfect, nothing is, but it's far better than plenty of the options.
Strange, I do not remember any of that. I do however remember what I felt to be undeserved and somewhat underhand criticism of competitors at almost every opportunity.

Please allow others to have their say, even if it does not align with the tenderness that you feel for this particular trader.

Whilst here, I would like to take this opportunity to sing praises of Rimmers and BS Motors (ECP2004). They have both always excelled to deliver top-quality service and are transparent about what is what, especially when it comes to OEM and non-OEM.

You know, there is a middle ground here - between the naysayers and the fans. The extremists should maybe count to 10 before they click on the "Post" button.

It is fantastic that there are options to buy a myriad of parts for cars from a company that hasn't been in business for more than 10 years. Between the various suppliers people get choices of parts, prices and service. The "big" guys have employees and overhead so sometimes their prices must be higher. The one-man-show is entitled to spend Christmas holidays with his family. I believe he actually said his business would be slow or stopped for a while through Christmas.

It's not hard for any MGR owner to make a list of items they should keep on hand with all the experience and information that is available right here. Maybe folks ought to place a small order every few months for items on that list until the entire list is on their shelves waiting for when they are needed. That would reduce a lot of the last minute ordering need it yesterday issues.

No matter where you buy from, if there is shipping involved, something will be lost or delayed sometime. If it happens more than a handful of times, it would be prudent for the seller to use a different shipping company.

There are lessons here for everyone - planning, communications, patience, staying out of other people's fights unless asked for help (yeah, I know, nobody asked me ).

Peace,
Glenn
