I'll be there, but I don't think my nearly empty piggy bank will stretch to the likely sale price.

It'll be interesting to see how much it actually makes.

I wonder why so low? Princess Diana's RS Turbo just went for £650k.

I suspect Princess Diana is a wee bit more popular than Maggie Thatcher.

Going by the write up the P5 was a general government hack, its only claim to fame was it took Maggie Thatcher to Buckingham Palace post election win.

Sorry mate. Didn't pick up your post until too late.

Hopefully catch up at the next social in a couple of weeks.

PS The 6 litre, TWR XJS looked interesting and only fetched about £30K which seems a lot of car for that sort of cash particularly as it's unique.

I suspect you hit the nail on the head there. The Queen of Hearts up against the milk snatcher, no contest is there?

Not that l had any time for either of them but the cancellation of the school milk was a Labour policy. A shame as l always enjoyed mine.

And yes, there was a fleet of black P5's at the ministry, it was just chance which was used l think. Though there was one which was modified for Harold Wilson's pipe, it's in Gaydon now along with the Queen's P5's.
