Default Very annoying dashboard buzz

Well chaps, the idea of 'basing the Rover 75 on a Rolls-Royce' is all very well but because it's so quiet in the cabin, the noises are more obvious!
I've searched the forums for 'rattles' and 'buzz' (BCU, air vent tubes etc etc) but I've not found anyone as yet with the same buzz as mine!
After removing the instrument pod and wood dash section in front of the driver and the panels below the steering column, I'm still unable to locate the damn buzz. I've stuck my head up in the space above the foot pedals and the sound 'seems' to be above the steering column but I've tried putting my fingers on everything under there and it still buzzes! AAAARGH!
It occurs at around 1800-2000rpm which has been mentioned in the forums but this is just obviously at the point where the engine vibration has hit the sweet spot to set off the buzz.
I'm afraid this will be a hit and run thread; off to bed now but will check on replies (if any ) 2moro night.
Good night gentlemen and good luck.
