Default The Whitby 75 Taxi..

A few years ago this Taxi was discussed, I've seen it myself parked on the Taxi Rank in front of the harbour.

Maybe member reworht could throw a bit of light on the subject.

It appears like myself many members have visited and have a soft spot for this famous fishing Town.

There was talk of having a meet there a while back, but I don't think anything came of it.

As you know, the only problem when visiting Whitby is the parking situation. Perhaps if an area outside the Town with plenty of space can be found, a meet could be organised in 2014.

Gate Keeper visited the North Yorks moor on holiday earlier in the year a meet at a pub was organised.

A member on here LWB bought it after it finished as a taxi.

Here is where LWB had it on here for sale.

It was also at the POL and at Avoncroft.

No info on where it is now..

I thought of Whitby as a great venue, perhaps a road trip up from Scarborough for the Yorkshire members. And maybe attract a few from the North East.

I'll have a run up in a few weeks and have a look for suitable parking. If we keep it to low season perhaps March/April we will have a better chance.

Spent my honeymoon in Whitby, great place!
Also fell off the sea wall and broke my wrist but that's a different story!
