"Start Pilot" for my 75

Hi!
I had a problem since Monday, my 75 (2000cc, diesel, 1999) did not want to start. We called the assistance and they sprayed a product called "Start Pilot"; after that, my car started up! The assistance guy mentioned that most likely there is a problem with the spark plugs -- we'll see with the garage. What I wanted to ask you is if you think that such a product may be dangerous for my car, or if it's possible to use it safely in case the car plays a trick on me again.
