I am glad you had a good result with the footsie the BA flight has just pulled into the gate. They now have 2 hours to get the passengers off with their bags, refuel and the load up again to be ready. I had a look at the inflight entertainment - a choice of 25 films on demand, The Days a Slave and Gravity, I might watch. Captain Phillips - the sea hijack Somalian pirates, maybe

The flight is only 8hrs 50 minutes and not as long as flying back from the Philippines. Oh well, have a relaxing evening.

Even a film isn't that much of a distraction, one flight back from the Philippines the film was "Mr Holland's Opus", Richard Dreyfuss as a high school music teacher writing his own operatic peice . . . . jeez, what a cure for insomnia that was!

Mind you, did have one "entertaining" flight, Edinburgh to Heathrow en route to the Philippines. Flight was delayed because of high winds further south. Eventually got away but the final approach into Heathrow was . . . . exciting shall we say. Guy sitting next to me just about dug his fingertips into the armrests
When I came out of the Air Force I swore that I would never go flying again but I did
