Checked Ging's Filipino TV, today's news program isn't available yet. Looking on the net there are differing predictions for the typhoon. Both agree about where it will make landfall, Pagasa, the Philippine weather agency says it will travel straight across the central Philippines but the US military typhoon centre in Hawaii say that after making landfall it will swing north and head for Manila.

Worrying time for you both and Anthony & Maricel as well.
I shall watch the news during the day and let's all pray that it turns out to be less destructive than they think.

Morning all - from another damp, dark, miserable December day in Yorkshire.

Seeing Derek's comments about bumping into folks and chatting - how many of you still say 'good morning' or similar to unknown people in the street?

I still do, and on the whole, usually get a friendly response - but I have to say I'm a bit wary of the age group I greet. Whether it's a sad sign of the times or what, I don't greet younger people - fear of misinterpretation perhaps?

It is a great shame that the community spirit seems to have all but disappeared.
