You can definitely put me down for that one - might even bring SWMBO as I know we can gluten-free fish'n'chips in Whitby too. The Abbey car park is a sensible bet - the big one behind the Co-op near the Railway Station soon fills up - even out of season!
Like PAB, I'll be in Whitby at some stage over Christmas and New Year - so I'll have a sniff around for sensible parking too I'm 99.9% certain that there will be a repeat of the Lion Inn, Blakey meet next year, and the more the merrier. Back on the original thread, I haven't seen that taxi in Whitby, but I would put in a mention for Harrrisons Garage - daughter bought a used Fiesta off them - brilliant people to deal - they have old fashioned ideas like "customer service is vital" - refreshing nowadays!

I also was in Whitby last summer: saw another Harrisons taxi in service. Another Mark 2 , but with a low number private plate on it-something like XWU 3. Unfortunately my attention taken by a mint Copperleaf Conny SE Tourer across the road parked by another holidaymaker-from Scotland!
The Sentinel steam bus wasn't running. Has it broken down? That would be brilliant for the park and ride! Kevin |
