the first l.p.g coversions that used the throttle manifold intake to introduce the lpg gas had a reputation for backfiring into the engine bay .... quite an explosion sometimes blowing off parts underbonnet. i did see one or two photos on youtube but this was long ago and you dont hear much about it now as direct injection superseeded this method with their own sequential fast injectors...... oh the wonders of science !!
