A lot of preferences for serpents by the looks of it.
Perhaps to alleviate my indecision in the short term, I’ll just swap the serpent wheels over from the marmite duotone to SLZ. It doesn’t look as if it is needed any time soon.🙄

Although, if I could find a decent set, I think I would opt for starspokes or 11 spoke alloys.

Gridspokes were made in Turkey, and they corrode worse than any other 75 or ZT wheel!

Whats a refurbished set of Starspoke alloys worth? As in a proper job from CPC?

I still haven't decided on what colour to paint them - gloss black sparkle, like Arctic, or maybe silver sparkle?
Someone from abroad posted a photo showing alloys with what looked like a white line around the edges, but I'm damned if I can find it now..
Hi John.
We now know what you went with front grill is next

You mean have the front grill painted sparkly black as well? Hmmm...need to see how I get on with these wheels first! Whilst the refurbisher did a great job, all I notice when I look at the wheels is the brown brake dust, especially on the back wheels...is that normal? And brake dust corrodes, no?

I'll take a few pics once the sun comes out.

The only mention of brake pads I can find go back to 2014...I expect they have been replaced since then? At that time, front pads were "MDB 2011" and rear "LP ADH 24276". Or so it says on some scrappy hand-written repair invoice! I have to say, I have no issues with the brakes at all, long may that continue! I just noticed the car had a new clutch and fly wheel done in 2014 as well...almost £900 ouch!

The tyres are all 235 45 17, and I'm going to fit red rim guards, and maybe even valve lights (red, of course!), not that I drive around much at night...or anytime, really! Then I'll have a look at getting red centres as well, or somehow have the Rover ones accentuated. Rick-sta, eat your heart out!

I'll wait to see how your grill turns out before committing mine to a paint job
