I hope when the chap who ‘picked’ it, is on his way home, he knows his left from his right, otherwise he could be ‘left right’ in the apple cart.

Refurbed both bonnet catches after removing bumper and both headlights (to replace original bulbs now HIDs are no no for MOT).Cant believe that the bonnet closes first time now, after years of bashing the top panel to enable the catches to catch!

That's definitely worth doing before winter.

Started the diesel up this morning for the first time in three weeks.Sorned in garage. Backed it out and gave it a wash, the first time since June.Started first time on the button. Drove it up and down the driveway a few times to make sure brakes and clutch are ok. Surprised that the disks were still shiny after being locked up for over four months. All liquids ok and tyres pressure only lost around two pound.Alles gut .

I've just...
I've been working on the ZT in readiness for the new year build project, I thought I'd found all the water leak points but there was one more I'd missed, it's where the bottom of the rear screen is either side where the panels are welded together. I've dried it and put some screen sealer on the joins, it's dry inside and I hope it stays that way until next spring. I've been thinking it over about how much I wanted to change the car and I've made some plans, it's a base 160 with wind up rear windows, I plan to do the 190 cams, put electric windows in the rear and change the front brakes for the larger ones. I'm leaving the manual heater controls and I've already put dual knobs on the panel, I'll also get the console vent to give out warm air to the rear. It will be subtle changes I'll make but, along with the soundproofing I'll have a very desirable car I reckon.

Went underneath the Dorchester and reattached the exhaust, driveshafts, lower engine mount, rear heater hose, gear selector cable, a new set of plugs while the top of the engine is off, and fitted a new aux belt.
