Walnut Auto Gear Knob

Got me a auto gear knob spare and thinking of selling. I thought it was a walnut one but putting against my walnut one on me conny se spec car it looks a different shade. It doesn't look light oak so could a walnut one fade?
Next question would be what are these knobs going for these days?
