not an image
hello gents.not being too savy at this type of thing ! im trying to put a picture on to a post here on the forum. i have taken some photos on my iphone 7. they are now on my p.c and im trying to put one onto a post . im following reebs instruction in his how to post. all is fine until i get to uploading to the club website. it tries and then comes back with the bulletin " the file uploaded is not an image " the file is jpg from my iphone. should i have to convert this to another type of file or should it be ok. should it be jpeg or does it matter.my avatar image went on ok this morning however this was uploaded using my cheap blackberry phone. why is it saying that the file is not an image ?

The problem is, it’s too big. When uploading to your forum image gallery, select a smaller file size when it gives you the option

If you are uploading it from your iPhone to your image gallery on the forum, your iPhone should give you the option to choose the size of the image as you upload it.

iphone 7 as far as i am aware (done some homework ) has crop edit.thats all.i have just done this on mine with latest update only yesterday ( 11.0 os ) it will let you reduce its size but not area. its either square or rectangular which is achieved by moving the corners.but no sizes ever are offered overall only different size boxesor rectangles. the only reason i could do this photo was after i had sent it to my p.c from my iphone in atatchment and then downloaded to my pictures . i presume its size was reduced substantialy via text mail as atatchment. im no expert but it looks like windows 7 you can do it but thats now removed and they want you to buy a photo edit type app. hope others can share some knowledge as you can see im not too savy with these things .. im on windows 10 .... thanks

Your windows 10 computer will have Paint and Paint 3D both of which can resize images. Jim |
