I suffer trigeminal neuralgia along with migraines and cluster headaches, and now they reckon this scrotal pain is a form of neuralgia, neuralgia of the ilioinguinal nerve type thing.
Research shows cutting nerves is the way to go when tackling neuralgia, especially when a patients quality of life is suffering to the point of becoming housebound as walking is too painful. This sounds really pervy, but if I were to walk around naked and not wear clothing, then I would be pretty much pain free. It's when I get dressed and wear briefs/boxers, jeans/trousers is when the pain gets triggered, there is a part of the scrotum that gets triggered by touch. |

Tried wearing a kilt yet or a kimono?
Sorry to hear about your problems Wes. Hope you can get it sorted out asap and get back to driving the Capri.

I may have jumped the gun slightly, it looks like they haven't written me off just yet, thank god.
Tracey called the hospital, they want me to try a lidocaine cream, they want to try and pin-point which area/nerve is being triggered before they go in cutting anything else. They want me to wait as long as possible before having another operation, as I've already had two operations within 5 months of each other. They also say the orchiectomy could still improve things, that nerve pain can take some time for the body to forget, I'm not sure about that one TBH, it's been four months already and I'm now back to where I was pre-op, it's like nothing ever happened Since losing one of the boys I do get moments where I do feel like things are improving, but then the pain returns and knocks me for six. We shall see how things pan out over the next coming weeks, will be speaking with the surgeons again and see where I'm at, the doc actually wants me to keep a diary. lol Thanks for listening guys, written it down/typing it out helps make sense of it all I guess. The diary thing isn't unusual. My Dad was asked to do the same thing for a stomach problem.
Turned out it was colitis but the diary helped them with diagnosis. JohnnyBG |

I was back at the hospital today seeing the colorectal team, if it isn't one thing it's another. I've been a sufferer of haemorrhoids for several years now, pretty much caused by my early work career, it seems that hard work has ended up knackering one of my ball$, caused me a hernia and given me piles WTF.
Today I was seen by a lovely young lady, lots of questions and then out comes the fingers, you can imagine what happens next I made her laugh a few times, always the joker me. Piles! she tells me, wants me to go back and have either a sigmoidoscopy or another colonoscopy and have them banded again, she even mentioned surgery. She spoke about a nerve block to the pudendal nerve, this nerve innervates the rectum and the lower part of the scrotum, we are wondering if there is a connection to why I suffer testicle/scrotal pain... In the meantime I'm seven months post orchiectomy and thankfully all the post surgery pain has gone, I had some terrible weird pains I tell you. I seem to be back at my baseline with a slight improvement to the ball pain, but not enough to allow me to live normally. I'm back at the Uro's next month and I'm wondering do I push for more surgery, or do I play the waiting game some more to see if the Orchiectomy improves things any further? Bare in-mind the pain I get becomes excruciating and I often wish for the other bollock gone, I believe nerve cutting is the answer. Last edited by Dallas; 1st July 2021 at 20:21.. |
