I'm doing some work at home and was messing under the floorboards when I discover a few old album cards, among them was this guy.

As a young lad I dug a pool for a local lady as requested by my Mum. I was given a nice new ten shilling note for my effort. I seem to remember it was a brown? Felt like I'd won the lottery! My mother, dear of her, insisted I should return the cash. Fortunately for me the lady insisted I kept my earnings and all was resolved to mutual satisfaction. Funny I remember that but can't seem to find my glasses.

I once had a ten bob note for Christmas the one year, I felt like a king. My glasses are usually on my head but I never think to look there

I remember getting a £1 premium bond for a birthday, never did win anything on it though!

That set (Famous People) was issued by Brook Bonds in 1969 (ever so slightly Empire/Commonwealth biased) take a look at this lot - and why not (but I guess BLM twonks would like to have it expunged from history)
