Refitted VDO & wipers wipe on ignition offf
I removed the Chinese double din unit as Im selling the car soon (in favour of the ZT) and swapped back the original VDO. However, the wipers wipe once when the key is turned off, regardless of whether the radio was on or not.
Also found an unused small connector on the loom which I dont remember. Any ideas? Dougie.

So will that cause the wiper issue with the VDO? It’s been fine for 2 years with the other double din unit.

This is the only pic I have of the connectors, the usual problem is the wires are reversed when fitting a Chinese unit to the oem plug

Thanks for that. I’m refitting the OEM VDO unit back into the car which has the original ISO 10487 connectors though.

Check that the ignition feed cable - Light Green/White - is in pin 7, and the battery feed cable - Purple/Pink - is in pin 4.

In the first picture of the first post, it looks like the Light Green/White cable is in pin 4 of the grey ISO connector, not the Purple/Pink. Check that it is the battery feed in that pin.
