Default Refurbishing parts?

Hi all, I'm fairly sure they're no good, but wondered if anyone can refurbish rear shocks? I replaced mine when I did the rear arms and subframe, though there didn't seem to be any problems with them. I was clearing the garage out today and found the old shocks under a pile of other stuff. Are they only fit for the tip, or could they be of use to someone?

Same with the anti-roll bar, it's rusty and a lot of paint has come off. I replaced it with a new part, but could this be cleaned up and painted and be of use to someone?

I've also got my old subframe I removed, but I can't remove the old upper arms, as the captive nuts have come loose in their fixings. If I can find a way of removing those, someone could probably made use of that.

A spot weld on the captive nut does the job a treat, it also helps by heating the nut and makes removal of the bolt easier.

I'll give it a go, but I never did really get the hang of welding! Had to throw all my rods out during the clearcut as they's gone furry!

Any thought's on the shocks/dampers? They're tatty to look at but seem to function ok.

There's another thread about this. If they felt ok when removed then they probably are ok.

I'm pretty sure l read a post fairly recently about someone refurbishing/refilling a pair of (P6?) shocks, possibly on the Classic Rover Forum. Or it may have been on one of the modification pages on Farceache. Somewhere anyway.

Thanks, I'll give them a wipe down and then offer them up, even if they're only to get by on until someone can afford new ones.

I found a pair of brand new dampers, still in the packaging, and the correct code for my car, for a price I really couldn't pass up, so changed them while doing everything else.
