Default Rear screen sealer

Hi all, was just wondering if anyone could advise me on the best silicone sealer to use on the back screen of my 75 saloon as I'm renewing the bottom clips & want to cure the leak problem when putting them & the screen back in. Tia
Regards
Andy

Don't use silicone, a polyurethane based sealant is what I would recommend. Did this same job last year (but without removing the rear screen). I decided to discarded the foam gaskets/washers from the clips (I'm sure they will work as intened but will eventually fail to maintain a proper seal over time) and bonded/sealed all the trim clips/fasteners into position using Sikaflex 521-UV (plus preparation using the recommended cleaner/solvent Sikaclean 205-1450). Available on-line or from suppliers of caravan equipment, neither is cheap but are the right product for the job; the sealant is available in light grey, white and black.

Sikaflex is the best for this job Andy.

Thanks very much guys, I've just got a set of new clips for the bottom just incase I break the old ones. So I'll get some of the stuff you've both recommended before I start 👍🏻👍🏻😊!!
