2004 Triumph Speed Triple 955i -black number 200.000

The computer software house the company used to use always held their annual user group meeting there in the conference facility.

Always finished early enough to have a good look around the museum and the free admission was an added bonus.

My favourite was the 4 cylinder Triumph that was built before the Honda 750 four was launched. Loved the write up that said the British market would not be interested in multi cylinder bikes .......

Visited the castle and museum with my good lady on a very pleasant day during September 2012, we had a walk round the castle first and then set off to the motor museum. On entering the museum I spotted a notice saying no photography was allowed, pity, foolishly I was still carrying my camera plus had my camcorder hanging on it's neck strap.

In short order I was approached by a member of staff who asked me had I not seen the sign advising photography was not allowed and would I put my cameras in my bag. I did as requested and we then continued our walk round the museum with the staff member following our every move!

It's a well laid out museum but boy was I glad to get out of the place!

There's a few exhibits outside but as to the museum itself this is as close you can get to it with a camera.

Nice Calthorpe in the first pic. Similar to my dad's first bike.
I've never seen one on the road.
