Started gathering the bits to fix my sunroof drains properly... a year or two later than I should!

Took my ZT190 to the Vancouver Cars and Coffee yesterday.
A good turnout of 200 or so cars. I didn't get any pictures of the ZT but here are some oddities from the event.

Hi Brian. I have been round Donnington Park in one of those, with three other people in the car. Tell you what, they really do ‘go’. Cornering is superb. Was really amazed at the speed it carried round the corners. Not quite up to the Aston Vantage type speed, but ideal for what it is. Would I have one? Not really. To small for four big uns and the luggage my Mrs and my mates Mrs stuffs in the back.

Made whole new throttle cable for the V8, seems to have got rid of the sticky notchy Bottom twiching driving experience

Fit the towbar I got from AndyNo1 to the tourer. Two of the bolts holding the crash bar snapped off so will be looking at them later. Had to use the crash bar bolts but as two snapped I've ordered new high tensile bolts. No rush as I've the electrics to sort .

Oh and chucked a bucket of water over the zt as the birds used it as a toilet this afternoon.

Fitted new pair of front drop links. Pulled rubbers back to reveal to just a smear of grease, so topped them up before fitting. Fitting was easier than expected.

Driving along and heard the tell tale "clunk" from the nearside rear.

Off with the rear disc, retrieved the brake shoe steady pin and spring, and fitted a bolt as a temporary measure.

Looks like a replacement backplate will be fitted at the weekend

First off I fitted the new battery then fitted the front tyre / spring protectors then fitted both front mudflaps, then replaced the front pads, they had about 2 mm of meat left on them

I got some crimp connectors and sorted the snipped passenger seat wiring then fitted the Blue alcantara seat, does it ever look blooming lovely.

Drained the coolant system which was just water as I wanted to make sure there were no leaks then refilled with oat.
I then took the car for a test drive and was very happy that everything that didn't work was replaced and now all working perfectly.

Then I had to remove the old drivers seat as that has been sold with the other seats.

I did my autumn oil change earlier than usual just because I could,

Ho & because the weather was nice, also did the FL2 but that was yesterday.

Did it the best way you can let the oil out of the sump after a nice 20 miles run so the oil is hot, car up on ramps remove the under tray drink a coffee, sort out the oil catcher a washing up bowl

the new oil filter, and sump plug with new washer & the oil.

Then removed the sump bolt/plug and let it pour out, once it had stopped flowing I removed the oil filter cap/lid 36ml socket, lifted it a little to let air in so the rest of the oil came out of the sump, once it was a little drip again I removed the cap & the filter, left it for about 15 minutes while pottered about in the shed doing some gold resistors for September meet.

Sealed everything back up, checked the oil level which was just below the maximum
