Advice on V6 Lower Engine Mounts
My 05 2.5 V6 connie has failed its MOT on the lower engine mounting. I've had a look at both Rimmer Bros and DMGRS and found quite a difference in pricing for a replacement so would appreciate any guidance to help me get the right one.
Rimmer Bros quote £69.95 for part No KKH101383 DMGRS quote £24.99 for a part that references KKH101383 and KKH101385 I haven't taken the old one out yet but think its the original one having had a quick look under the car. So the question is..which one should I get, will the DMGRS one be OK? Cheers Guys Last edited by paulh260260; 12th September 2019 at 20:56.. |

Hi Paul.
If you lower engine mount is the original then it will have the letter P stamped on it. This mount below will do fine for the V6 petrol engine. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-75-...IAAOSwIgNXszS5 Manual https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MG-ZT-2-5...IAAOSwIgNXszS5 You could also go for a power flex one as below, bit more work involved though to get it ready for fitting, whereas the one above is straight fit. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/POWERFLEX...0AAOSwFGNWRd4a

The Powerflex bushing is a real workout to fit to the bracket.
Its one of those jobs where having 3 hands would be a real asset. I was on the verge of giving up but realised if I left it till the next day my arms and shoulders would feel even more sore. I ended up using my big C-clamp as my third hand...supported by my chest.
