It's becoming a problem again here in Canada.
Fortunately they seem to be mostly targeting jacked up pickup trucks and 4X4s as they are easy to get under and are everywhere. The F-150 pickup has been the best selling vehicle in Canada for years so there are lots on the street.
Petrol theft is a big problem here as well. They just drill a hole in the plastic fuel tank, take what they want and let the rest run down the street.

Not the video I was thinking, but THIS one is even more brazen! Bet even the car and jack is stolen! Then I bet if you ask them, 'they are out working!' lol

Looking at how it was cut off mine and the lack of access I've got a feeling I know what they may have used to do it.

They left a couple of jack marks in the tarmac when they did mine and it was parked outside - I hadn't been home from work long and was going out again so hadn't put in the garage.

Some of our scrap cats are worth more than £200 mate, non OEM ones are not as good as they don’t contain the same levels of precious metals..
