They were! It was many years ago now, but I wont forget them, they were so thin I think I could have bent them if I tried.

Angry thermostat

removed thermostat today on my zt thought was going well until new parts (pattent) were no were near same as oem so lesson for today dont buy autoparts mall pattent parts so had cough up £80 for genuine mg parts

I'll bet they were Freelander parts with the quick release fittings.
When I had my Freelander I bought a ZT thermostat by mistake and had to buy a ZT so that the parts wouldn't go to waste!
