Aha, another improvement over the MK1 - no-leak rear lights. Cheers, Glenn

I had full leather in my 45 and it was a godsend when my children were small (vomit, ice cream etc just wipe clean, but can still stain), but in hot weather really can burn you and like a block of ice in winter. In my ZT, its half cloth, half fake leather and don't miss the full leather a bit, in fact I prefer cloth seats.

I sent my checklist to the seller and it came back all good except for the passenger (right) door lock and tailgate lock won't work with the remote. The pictures show all doors and tailgate open so I'm guessing that is a bad passenger door lock actuator? Would that also prevent the tailgate from unlocking? My friend is going to look at it and drive it this week.
Cheers, Glenn

Mine used to work like that - first press, driver door only, second press passenger doors, long press boot. Plus all locked once you drive off. I think I preferred that to all doors open on one press, and lose the locking on driving off...

Plus it stops the missus whinging that she is getting wet because you've forgotten to open the door The whole point of central locking is that the doors are opened simultaneously, not in the case of a car that has not been through a PDI, opening only the drivers door. This is why the majority of late model cars have the "only opens with the key syndrome" but locks on the remote Brian |

I don't know. Maybe it's a MK2 thing?

It's a status symbol Robert, because it's expensive, just like champagne and caviar and suntans in the winter.
James May once explained to us that the Maharajas sat on cloth seats in the back of their Rolls Royces whilst their driver, of lower social standing, sat in the open. He was therefore provided with hard wearing and weather resistant leather. Simon
