It is almost getting to the stage, where all the satisfied customers are of no relevance. It is not sort of an average we are trying to establish here.
There are customers that have got what was expected, we know that. But there are many many who have not. To come and state "I'm happy, got what I ordered" is just going to skew the picture. Would anyone here be happy with receiving ANYTHING less than what was agreed upon, and paid for? I would not, except maybe in an exceptional case. It is a lot like "does this dog bite?" If it has not bitten you, you could say "no", but if you know it habitually bites others, you are not going to help anyone by doing that, and must bear responsibility for anyone later being bitten. So maybe we should change the header?

I'm not here to skew anything, I'm here because it is saddening that anyone in this community would behave in such a way, and considering that there aren't that many of us who love out Rovers and MG's, it's even more saddening. And though I did have okay dealings with him, I wouldn't purchase from him again because of this thread, for which I thank everyone who has suffered for sharing that so I know NOT to trust him. |

You'll get used to it Matt, the 'panning' of members (whether deservedly or not) is commonplace here. These boards are a history lesson in some respects, best used for info regarding repairs/spares/how to's etc.

However, many people miss the severity of the issue, because of the length of the thread, and a lot of people cannot really believe what they see, especially relating to a personal OK experience, like you. I just feel a warning should be issued against anyone behaving like this. If a business exists because of this club (to a large extent) it is implicitly endorsed unless a specific warning is issued. So take it for what it is worth. I would most likely have done what you did, had I been in your shoes.

For me the signs were there for a long time. I was interested in a DD head unit, but I didn't purchase because of issues some people had had with the units, and then with getting replacements or refunds. What made it worse, was (as still happens with other traders) if someone dared to say they'd had a problem, the thread was always quickly jumped on by others who hadn't had problems, saying what a great guy he was. I'm pretty sure there was someone in France trying to return some headlights or something and struggling to get a refund or even a reply. |

He completely disappeared
Good morning guys,
I haven't read this topic before, I have ordered many things from him over the years. Everything was fine, I received a Roewe 750 bumper, Roewe 750 projector headlights, Navall Comet head unit, Led taillights. Maybe I was lucky. He was extremely slow, but everything matched to the descriptions. My last order was placed in December 2018. This is the first time that I haven't received anything. I have sent him several emails, but haven't got any answers yet. He disappeared completely... |

I agree, the heading of this thread should be changed.
