Rear Brake Discs.......
Now I thought that all rear brakes where the same across the ZT / 75 Range, regardless of model.
Having had a number of enquiries I have now discovered that there are solid or vented discs depending on the model. 190PS - MG ZT & ZT-T 180PS - MG ZT & ZT-T Low Performance - MG ZT & ZT-T up to VIN 2D 252351 2500 cc - 75 Tourer In a nut shell it would apear that all ZT's regardless of engine size had vented rear discs as did any 2500cc 75 tourer. All other 75 models have solid discs. Obviously the calipers are different, but it would appear that the pads are the same... I took the word of a local mechanic who I assume based it on the pads being the same.....

OK, but as with another book often referred to by that name, you can't believe everything you read.

If I've read it properly, basically all ZT's should have vented rear discs. The only 75 to have them is tourers with 2500cc engines.

Completely ignore my first post......
I've just checked my ZTCDTi and it's got solid discs..... I've clearly mis read and there is obviously an exception in there, and I suspect it's the low powered ZT bit......

Right...take 2.....
I've now amended the first post, and the vital bit missing was that vented discs were fitted to the lower powered ZT's up to VIN 2d 252351.... It now makes sense. Sorry for the confusion.
