Cool

What a wonderful collection, and at a good price. Would expect a museum to snap this collection up.

He has tried to sell some of these individually before, but I believe that the prices were too steep. Whilst it is a wonderful collection, I have a problem with it. I prefer originality, and although several were painted in metallic silver originally, the vast majority have been resprayed. I would have preferred it if they were in their original hue, and even better in their original paint! The respray quality is not great.

In the 1980's my best friend had a beautifully restored Humber Imperial, which we used to use in many rallies, including the RAC classic (it was a pig to steer round the Silverstone track!) and I met the owner of this collection many times as he was the Chairman of the Post Vintage Humber Club, although only in his late 20's then.

I was chatting with maxi_crawf a couple of years ago about this gent and his collection, from what I remember of the cars he had at the time, that starting bid is too low.

I hope they go to a good home (Coventry car museum springs to mind, would be good to take them back home)

I knew about this collection from an old Humber car club video that I have seen several times. A very impressive collection.

Back in the 60s my Dad had a Mk3 Super Snipe which I think was the favorite car he ever owned. He used to talk about how it was only very slightly smaller than a Bentley.
