Default Problem with heated rear screen on Tourer

Trying to get the rear screen to work is a bit of a nightmare.
I have checked fuses and the elements on the screen which all seem to be ok i then stared to check the wires, there is power going to tail gate but how can i check where the wire connects to the glass screen it self. this seems to be the only place the power could be breaking down.
Appreciate any help.

then its not a relay if you have power.

On each the side of the screen under the trim will be the joint where the power connects. It is quire hard to get at so you would have to remove the trim. Measure here with a volt meter.

Even if one of the elements has gone the others would work.

If it was me I would check the wire inside the rubber flex thing between the rear screen and the tail gate. This flexes and the wire can break inside the pvc so to the eye looks ok but is actually open circuit.

Good Luck.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the help, I know its not the elements, i have touched them up with the special silver paint and not one of them works, i think its defiantly the wire from the tail gate to the screen, the problem is i just cant see how you get to where the wire connects to the elemet on the glass!!!
