I just checked it out and sure enough it's whited out, perhaps the standards changed this year

I had a failure on my previous ZT because an indicator bulb wasn't orange enough...

Just replaced a side light bulb on the near-side. Now either the Mk1 and Mk2 Xenon lights are different at the back or I never changed a bulb on the previous one but I found I needed hands like a 6 year old to be able to reach the bulb holder and extract it without scratching my hand to pieces on the slam panel or air filter box

Default Jacking point rust

Had the offside rear jacking point and quite a large section of the sill done today, more metal than I thought cut out and replaced. Really good job done by coded welder trainer and assessor even jacking point and plug put back in place, looks just like the job that Tom Horne does, cost £100 + vat £120 total. Can't fault it! Local garage that I have used for years.

I went out to take a hub to a garage to have the bearing replaced on my missus's fiesta, but I didn't make it, eml flashed and engine died, I managed to roll into the local leisure centre, a 2 mile walk home and got my code reader, crank sensor had failed, an aftermarket one from intermotor which replaced the original which had failed a year ago, so a trip back home to rob one off the 21000 mile zt, a genuine one now on order and a lesson learned, buy cheap, buy twice.

Lobbed the ZT onto the new toy in the man cave, and lifted it up.

Wandered around looking underneath the car in total comfort, checking things that needed checking prior to the annual visit to the MOT station tomorrow morning.

What total luxury, I only wished I'd had one much sooner than this, 30+years of lying on my back on ramps with rust and bits of muck falling into my face.

Mmm, mancave

I managed to find a small independent garage in stoke-on-trent that would wax oil under my ZT,all ready for the winter, used 5ltrs of hot spray wax oil, cost £80 for the job, not sure if thats a reasonable price, but was happy to pay it,as its a pig of a job to do yourself.

That's a pretty good price, and if it protects against the wet and salt its worth every penny.
