I use my 260 most days, I do about 8k a year and it has never been a consideration to get something newer.

Having friends who have newer cars I here a lot of tales of woe, dealer only repairs due to special tools or coding Crazy prices being charged for work and in one case a 3 year old Ford that 2 dealers cant get to the bottom of its stalling or bad starting after a run.

I recently acquired a 57 plate Diahatsu Sirion auto with a years MOT for a silly low price.

Worked out well as I now need to do a house restoration and I did not want to carry building materials in my 75.

I still love the 75 and by minimising it’s usage ( now on 65,000) not using it when there is salt on the road hope to keep it a long time.

I'm hoping that both of us can retire in the next year or two.

I know what the red thing is (and very nice too) - in background is that a RCAF Voodoo (at Abbotsford?)

Default daily drivers

My Bgt at 41 yrs old is my daily driver and so is the Connie. Usually I use both in the same day, Mg goes to town and stables, 75 goes to work.

Our 2 75 cdti tourers are still in daily use as is the daughters cdti saloon, we do not hesitate about taking either of the cars anywhere.

Use both of mine on alternate days to keep battery charged and all else working. If you have a 75, you do need a spare one as a backup for when they are in the garage being fixed!

Averaged 25 to 26000 miles every year since 2008 when my ZT CDTi replaced my 800 Vitesse Coupe - now there was a looker!

Thinking of parking it up for year and buying an older XJ6 ust to scratch an itch.

Very Close rab60bit!
It is a CF101 Voodoo, but the picture was taken at CFB Comox on Vancouver Island. The Voodoos were retired in the early 1980s when the RCAF went to CF18 Hornets (Which the government has been in the process of replacing for 10 years or more-No decision yet!)

Yeah...I’d agree with that.😬
I use one 75 during the summer, along with the merc.
I use the other 75 as a winter hack, when the merc sees white stuff on the ground.
