Default Rusty Sills

Has anyone had problems with rusty sills?

Seams to be mud in mine when the jack covers removed. Does this get in through the holes that hold the chrome strip on?

Yes, this is a common problem on 75's. Had offside jacking point welded on Copperleaf last year, then this year had a large section of sill and wheel arch cut out and new sections made up. Later this year had jacking point and rear of sill welded on Moonstone pre MOT. Always seem to go first in this area. No doubt in the next few years they will both need nearside jacking points and sills welding. Plenty of posts regarding rusty sills!

Tom Hobbs in Kimberely, Notts makes and fits new sections £100 a side and you'd never know. No nasty patches etc.
