Default Full Respray Cost

I completely understand that pricing on a full car respray varies place to place, but I’ve been tempted to do a full respray on my 75. Same colour, there’s just too many scratches that bug me!

Anyway, has anyone done a same colour respray, and what did they pay? Trying to figure if it’s something really worth getting done!

About £2500 for a garage to do it start to finish, or £1000 for them to spray with car stripped down,

I paid £1500 to have bonnet, bumpers, and lower half below chrome side trim in Copperleaf.

From £500 to sky's the limit I would guess.

Ask Flying Banana what his car cost, bet it wasn't cheap.

It really does depend on how thorough a job you want, and where you get it done, and to what standard. You could quite literally pay anything from £1000 to £10,000+.

Do the scratches go right through the clearcoat? If not, you might consider having the paint polished. You'd be amazed at the defects that can be removed and the transformation that can be achieved.

Much cheaper than painting .

Why not consider getting the car wrapped. Much cheaper than a respray and no worries about scratches or swirl marks in the future. Pretty sure you can get the vinyl colour made to match.

A friend of mine has a body shop and gets asked this question several times a week. His answer is depends on what you want? If you want a blow over and you have removed most of the bits that will get in the way as long as there is no major damage it will be about a grand for a blow over. On the other hand he will do it to better than it left the factory if you have the funds, he did an Aston last year to this standard and the bill was close to £12k with no major repairs but nearly 2 weeks of polishing.
