Default Price per covid jab

I wonder what the price the Government/NHS will have to pay for the covid vaccine.
If all costs for research, trials and manufacturer etc etc bring the cost to £10 per dose for the manufacturer when considering what price is a life worth and the economic fall out of things like lock down what would be a fair price to pay?

If recipients had to pay, would there be a reduced take up just because some refuse to pay.

What will happen to the homeless and or those not registered with a doctor?

It's a strange old world where you are paid "extras" for doing your contracted job. Fine if you have to take on additional staff or work them longer.

As for the actual vaccine costs, having worked with one of the leading names, I appreciate the mind blowing costs involved in the blind alleys of "failed" research and developement as well as the successes.

Many would be amazed at what their normal every month prescriptions actually cost.

The government will pay £0.

The cost will be born by the tax payers simple,do not need to be a Rocket Scientist or a Vaccine maker to work that out

So when did this malady become self-inflicted and not included in the ‘free at the point of use’ under the NHS?

How self-inflicted is it actually? Any more than cancer treatment? Or HIV? Or the effects of cannabis? Or destroyed nasal passages from Cocaine? What a scam. Is obesity related illness chargeable to the patient?

It’s becoming more like a myth every day. If the poor old starving Trusts were on similar pay and career prospects to the ward staff at the front line it would be more palatable. And why does everybody just accept it without question?

Suggestion: In national interests stop foreign aid waste and bribery.

I suppose it's nitty gritti time, if that is not a banned term nowadays. I've just seen on the BBC that it's proposed people who want to be released from lockdown restrictions and maybe want to travel can pay £25 for the jab.

The implication is that it is to be widely available and therefore not on the NHS. Ergo, avoidance of unfavourable zoning by paying.

Of course either me, the BBC, and other commentators could be over-simplifying. Blind faith is one thing but a healthy (no pun int.) scepticism is essential in the light of earlier mis-speaks and mismanagement.

At my surgery you still can't get in there for an appointment, they insist on an email! Even then you don't speak to your doctor, you get an unidentified member of staff. The surgery has lost four doctors in the last three years while the number of patients has risen. It's a mess.

It’s only this year 30 million will qualify for the flu jab, the vaccinations started in September for those over 65, these have now nearly finished. Those aged 50 to 64 will start from 1st November, so to inject all these people only once will take at least 4 months.
The covid jab is in 2 parts, so a 6 to 8 months timespan seems reasonable.
