Empty compressor
Hi,is it ok to use the a/c pump without refrigerant if not switching on the a/c.Due to my compressor bearings seizing up I had it degassed today ready to take off the compressor, having problem undoing two of the 10mm bolts holding it on,if they round off then may just leave it on,being my second car could live without a/c.No point in filling it up again if I can't use it.Mean while will start hunting for a compressor in case I can get the old one off.Regards Ry....

As there's no refrigerant pressure your compressor will not engage whatever buttons you press! I hope that answers your question. Simon
