Cool

Morning all. Yet another overcast start to the day but hoping the sun will come through, it did yesterday.

Essential shopping today via the Post Office. Will give Banana a run out.

G'day - to the few of us !
It's sunny and warm here today - first time we've had a combination of those two for a wee while.
I need to finalise tomorrow's Morrisons home delivery order - now which cider shall I put down for this week

Morning Ian - we're now on our 4th home delivery from Morrisons, and to date the system has worked well. If they don't have something in stock, they substitute something similar and on average, we've had maybe 3 items which they've provided alternatives for. We've had no totally missing items, and no damaged goods either. Milk has arrived with at least a week's sell by date, and fruit and veg has all been quite fresh - so all in all, I can recommend them

She just likes the physical experience of shopping , I'd do the shopping with a debit card, internet connection & my feet up with a cup o tea if it were up to me

We tried to get Mam set up with online shopping but she wont have anything to do with it
Luckily my older brother lives at home & sorts her shopping out.

I've been pulling up the last of the spudtub taters & re-planting it with leeks I started off in some 2ltr pop bottles I cut the tops off.

Also been re-potting a blueberry bush into a bigger pot.

How are you Richard, will you be having any R&R to enjoy the weather?

Here is a photo from the archives of esteemed members including yourself... (far left). Everyone was looking relaxed

The Camping & Caravanning Club have a number of sites which, due to the difficulty of making them sterile, won't open at all in 2020.
Angela and I ? ....... we are keeping clear - not worth the risk of venturing out in the caravan, so we'll give up on 2020 and look forward to 2021.
Both of us, thanks to past medical histories are only one step away from being classed as at risk - and that one step is purely age. We're both 69 and the cut off for qualification has been 70; personally, I don't believe that the virus is so specific that it will infect a 70 year old with my medical history, but ignore me simply because I'm 69 and a bit
Thanks Rod for explaining about the "at risk category". I did wonder why I did not receive a letter or a text message saying I should stay indoors. It is prudent of you to delay your vacation until 2021.

Thanks Phil, I remember that day, as usual it was Baltic up at the bar, a couple of members there that we haven’t heard from in a long time,4 of them no longer frequent the forum, one looks in now and then. I doubt we will hear from Steve again,I still have his email address and phone number. Wonder how he coped during the recent situation given his health conditions.

We are off to see my mother tomorrow as it’s been a while since we have visited her as a family, first time we were allowed to bubble it was just 3 of us, since then she has only seen her grandson one on a visit with me, although I have been popping in each week when I go to check o; my aunt’s house. I will see if she wants to go to the cemetery to see the headstone as she hasn’t seen it in the flesh so to speak, only in a photo. Sunday I will have to get out on the bike again and try to lose some of this weight I have put on .Another week at work then I’m having a few days off as I’m burned out.
