Or some soap solution around the lamp joins and "blow" to see where the bubbles emerge?

Well I’ve done a bit of sucking and blowing... 🤣
The suck test loses vacuum after about ten secs, blowing doesn’t reveal any bubbles?!? I may seal the edge of the lens with some Captain Tolleys and see what that proves.

Hi guys,
I don't know if this might help, but my dials used to steam up on my classic car, until I fitted LED bulbs. Now they stay clear. I presume you would have to buy LED's that are compatible with the R75's canbus system. Ken. |

Hi Ken. The fogging means there's water inside. It happens when the lamp case (or the dash dial) gets warm (sunshine, warm weather or a hot bulb) and causes the moisture to evaporate. When the temperature drops, the vapour condenses as a fog on the colder parts. LEDs certainly run cooler than filament bulbs, so in a situation like an interior dial will reduce the evaporation step. Basically, the moisture more easily stays as liquid. For the sidelights, direct sunlight is an ever present sourch of heat, so the fogging cycle is more obvious. So the answer for both sidelights and dials is to prevent water getting in.

That's true TC.,,and my dials have glass front on which the water vapour more readily condenses.
Whilst we were back in the UK ,last Summer, I decided to fix the cooling fan and on the R75, and whilst the bumper was off,I applied some LSX sealant around the back of the indicator casings, because of the condensation, but unfortunately we can't get back yet for me to check to see if it has worked. Ever hopeful I have washed the car twice since doing the mod on the indicators, and they are still clear, in that time 2 weeks I think we have had one maybe two days of rain also.
I will report back in another couple of weeks 1 2
