I will definetely wait for TMC and a working RDS function. Would be great if you could post here when someone has an item with working RDS. I will not miss this function as well as TMC.
The German 75 community is also very interested as you can imagine.

But still I dont have an sufficient answer for two questions :

- do you have to send it back to China in case of problems ?
- is the NAV soft registered or not ?

Maybe Cathy did not understand my question
If you get a problem. yes you will have to send back to China. Thats why I only bought the base unit with out the option of DVB-T or TMC. This kept the price down to just £291 delivered to door. Personaly I prefer the TMC operating in the message centre. And I am ordering a better DVB-T freeview box from eBay.
As for sat-nav software being registered... No it's not. Think it is just pirated copies. It's on a micro SD card, so easy to use any software you want.

I cant suss out how to lower the volume for start-up either.

Can you set the volume lower level for when the unit turns on?

Go into settings menu/system/audio.You can set the volume there.I've set the radio to 5 and it doesn't blast out when I switch on now.

I keep looking at this thread thinking.. "Do you think she'll notice?..."

But then I also think.. New rear lights £190, Xenons £120, T4 session to enable powerwash £50

It's not the car she'll notice.. It's the bank balance..

It runs from both.. However I've never found a WinCE5 machine that cannot run it with enough playing.

Thanks Picky, will try that in the morning for some reason I thought that did the opposite.

Must be getting brain fade.
