Janove, I am going to Upload maps of Sweden and Norway ONLY and then you can simply put them on the SD Card.

The link was ok, that was provided. The only challenge there is that there are no download slots availiable to download any other maps then the one i have gotten.

is any of the other six that got the units on the same time as me in the same position?

I am now getting really tired of this zipping business.

I finally feel that things are going my way. i downloaded another version of IGO8, with maps and...... What a suprice everything works with the navigation.

My only challenge now is to try to get the steering wheel controlls to work. I read the replies and not least the instructions, but found out that i will not be able to figure it out since i missed one of the colour combinations of the cables that was mentioned in the instructions. But i can live with this. I am now a happy man with working maps and a great looking unit. I must say thanks to Radioguy, and Tony for there help.

And I accept responsibility. I am very Sorry. I am happy that it is working. Can you Email me that Link to where you downloaded? I must have an older version not compatible on my FTP. It used to work GREAT !

You get what you pay for. I can only imagine what kind of support i would have gotten if i had orderd from one of the other suppliers.

Radioguy was a few dollars more, but i am happy i bought from him.

It is a DEFINITE and FINAL NO on TMC From the same factory.
I don't want to talk bad about my competitors but in MHO they are taking the 40$ and HOPING the TMC Works from the GPS and that ALL depends on the chip which the factory told us they will not be using. . Remember that REAL TMC Words from the RDS AM/FM . The factory WILL NOT offer it, they WILL NOT even consider it at this point. It MAY or MAY NOT Work from the GPS Module. I will not charge or guarantee TMC Because THAT is the real truth
In the interests of a balanced debate...I'd like to say that I bought mine from Hualingan - they were excellent...i paid with paypal - they despatched the unit straight away and i received it within a few days...and it works a treat, looks and sounds great.

Isn't there going to be a concise summary for this thread & a FAQs as it's getting way too long to wade through.
