And he has such an imaginative name. I wonder if everyone will be able to work out which new member it is

It doesn't really matter if he's 15 or 85. The tolerance his disruptive posts are granted is just further proof that moderation in this club isn't what you do, it's whether your face fits. Who else could get away with insulting the memory of war heroes ??

I got warned with ''having action taken against me'' for daring to complain about being charged to replace an item from the club shop which arrived damaged (the replacement still hasn't arrived despite me paying for it over a week ago).

I wasn't aware of the ignore button but will consider using it now.

For example there is a member who is a serial moaner and can moan for Scotland like no one else can and another member who looks like Popeye and writes up flowery twaddle that no one understands and is insightless. We tolerate them
Spot on Phil, it’s just a simple as that..............tolerance.
Like you said, there are many other members posts that are full of the brown stuff and we either tolerate or ignore.
I’m sure there’s many that ignore my posts that frequently bleat on about Minis and MGFs..........”oh no, another post by mininuts! I choose not to read it”.......easy as that.
I’m a member on one or two Mini forums and they have a lot of younger members that are under driving age. They have bought Minis to restore and get ready for when they can drive. They have some wonderfully unrealistic ideas about what they want to achieve with their cars and they are fun to read but, people tolerate and accept them for who they are. As they mature, the ideas become more real world.
The impression that all the negative comments, towards Thomas, give is one of a forum full of old whinging gets......which isn’t the case but, I’m certain that’s how it looks to potential new members if they read the threads
Maybe they are doing more harm to the club/forum than anything that Thomas has posted

After all that’s been said on Thomas’s other posts.....people still can’t just choose to either ignore or tolerate........its like they have to post negative comments for self satisfaction.......I don’t get it

Hey Thomas, why not try and get up to the Gretna meet on Sunday with your dad, it’s not too far from where you are.
