Anyone who tours round about Contin to Ullapool, just before you get into Contin, turn left down a cul de sac road, and keep driving if you want to see hundreds of Deer. I think the road (cul de sac)is about 12/15 miles long before you have to turn round. Just up from Contin, on the right hand side as you go up to Ullapool, there is a stream where the salmon jump. Quite enjoyable to spend half an hour watching them attempt to go up the stream.
Aye that's a decent drive, last time I drove from Birmingham was returning with my Rover metro.
Yes that's a cracking drive that, if you do end up round here feel free to give a shout if you need a brew on route.

We were Nairn for a week in mid March and did 1744 miles in total, in the Volvo , did John O'Groats, as it has to be done, and Dunnet Head, can't go any further north in mainland Britain than that! Also went to Isle of Skye and did the Applecross Pass, climbs over 2000 feet, not for the faint hearted, sadly we were in the clouds, 100 yards visibility so no views .
Our return home trip via Fort William & Glencoe, had a great time with quite a bit of snow, great driving roads and of course great scenery, love the Highlands

Default 2023 Mot Pass

Ok so back on thread, took car in bang on 10.00am, chap checked the reg, seats belts, doors, lights, horn, then up on the ramps, did all the underneath checking, and wheels & tyres checks, commented on the rear subframe, being new and blue.

Off the ramps onto the rollers, checked handbrake was holding ok, then the brakes, last was the exhaust emissions.

Walked over to me it's a pass no advisories, well pleased, what i don't like is how they have changed the paper work from 2021 onwards where you know longer get the emissions readings printed on the MOT.

You can see this from the photos below.

The emissions readout was printed on the back of my Mot when I had the Volvo done.

Default Pass

Well pleased once again took the Freelander 2 for it's MOT today, passed with no advisories 6 in a row now in my hands, the rest also no advisories before i owned it.

I had to take the front light out late yesterday as the main light had failed after switching it on, what are the odds on that, any new bulb and all was fine, 20 mile Italian tune up before taking it into the MOT garage, and a service done last week.

Next one will be the tourer in April 2024

Never doubted for a minute that it would be a clear pass.. it would be unusual if it was anything else. Well done Steve.
