Default Dual xeon processor 2.4ghz etc for sale

Hi

Ive a server tower with dual xeon 2.4 ghz processors, 1gb ram, geforce graphics 440, dvd drive, no drive as cant be bothered erasing and reformatting the existing one.

Think the fan bearings maybe starting to go as last time used computer (about a year ago) it was a bit noisy.

Due to size and weight collection only from Kendal, Cumbria or if you just want the processors boards etc could take them out and post.

Open to offers really as no longer required.

Dont be asking anything too technical

When the fan is healthy is this a user friendly chunter box with Fan speed management or a plain stick it in the garage noisy beast?
As that may determine who is interested

Between the two it is rather noisy thats why mentioned the bearing problem (assume thats what it is), my replacement PC just gives a very quiet hum.

Maybe of interest to someone who wants a faster processor as the boards will fit a standard case.

Well if you don't shift it before the official (whenever it is) or the previously announced unofficial "up north and left a bit" meet I will have it.

When i get 5 mins i will remove the side cover and try and get some more info regarding the boards etc and take some piccies.

I bought it a couple of years back when my previous PC died so work ground to a sudden halt, dashed out managed to get it as a second user PC (the only one they had which was quicker processor than the dead PC) but probably wasnt ideal for my needs, so replaced with a HP AMD 64 tower unit.

Its just about the right height for a coffee mug so would make an ideal coaster if nothing else
