Being a member on these boards no longer holds any appeal for me in any shape or form, and my continued presence is not only disruptive but destructive.

I would like to thank everyone who has put up with me for the past eight years, but now is the time for me to slip into obscurity.

Best of luck to one and all, and a special thanks to Reebs for making this so much easier to do

All the best for the future ladies and gentlemen.

Hi Brian I’d like to thank you for all you’ve done for all on the forum you’ve went above and beyond on many occasion and was glad to have met you was only the once but you left a lasting impression of a man who knows his stuff my father in law still talks about your wee box of tricks.

I’d also like to wish you the very best in your new venture and all the best for the future this place won’t be the same without you and many members will miss out on the knowledge you have to offer and the service you provided.

My car had a paid for in full £120 map from Russ thank you very much!

Are you unable to answer the questions regarding the maps

No lies here!

The remap doesnt write to the EWS unit Steve, so no immobiliser issues to contend with.

(Apart from asking if you would like a new security code)

I get the cliques bit, to many already.

For once in my life it was, right place, right time. Nearly had heart failure when I saw it was an Auto.

And all the wife says is "It's only a car" even though Yellow is her favorite colour

There are plenty of forums telling you how to polish your engine cover - but how many forums can tell you how to code your R75 ECU............ not many, but there is one less now,

So I stand by my original point.

Yes, I get that, and agree with you (believe it or not). But my point is, there's room for both sorts of posts, hence why we have both valeting section and a Technical Help Section within the forum .

What I don't get is how singling out one specific type of poster is helpful in these circumstances . Perhaps we'll have to agree to disagree on that point.

If you recall, in the original argument (which for the lack of alternative evidence, is proven to me) I involved myself after seeing you and Kenneth getting called out by Brian. I felt it was harsh on you both, thinking that all you had to do to clear your own name, would be to divulge the info requested (even via PM) and it would've been the end of it all. I initially encouraged you to do so. For it did seen like an unfair witch hunt then. Sadly my impression was wrong.

Since that info (for legitimate reasons I believe) was not forthcoming, to him, it appeared that you at least were in some way knowingly involved.

I still have a glimmer of hope in human nature, and it will out that I was wrong, for which I would gladly and publicly apologise for. Til then I can only go with what was presented to us as a forum.

Not that any of any of that should matter to you. It does to me though, as I don't have much, but my name and honour something I would do anything to protect.

In order of sadness...

3/10 Driving a chromed up old Rover 75
4/10 Arguing on an internet forum
7/10 Arguing about Rovers on an internet forum.
10/10 Arguing about Rovers on a Rover internet forum.

Get a grip ladies, people out there have real problems like dying in a collapsing bridge disaster, or being homeless etc etc.

If you want problems, I just had some jokeshop of a powdercoaters RUIN an almost virgin set of original lower arms. They messed up pressing the bushes so badly, that the ends of the arms are no longer round, and are all distorted, not to mention the bushes are no also longer round and are mangled beyond belief.

I swear I had to have words with myself to stop a GBH from occurring.
