Compliments the car really well. Very retro and I agree, I would have fitted it as you have as it looks much better.
Dorchester Red is my favourite colour too. Perhaps you could report as to whether there is any wind noise from it at speed?

I think they look okay on old cars. Sort of a thing of its time. On much newer cars, no i don't think it looks right. Just my opinion
