Not done the EGR on my saloon.
what about the big hose that goes to the EGR can/should that be cleaned?
As for cleaning the inlet manifold, tried that but would have been better if I could have agitated the cleaning fluid, letting it soak I don't think has cleaned all the stuff out

I fitted a new silicone hose and three o-rings to mine when I had the front end off to fit a new air-con condenser. I used a screwdriver and a tin of EGR cleaning fluid followed by half an hour with a pressure washer for the manifold.

Use gloves because it's one hell of a dirty job

If you covered the miles I do, you would love them! I went back to petrol cars for 2 years before the CDT. Kept thinking they were stuck in 4th gear! Even better- I don't have to worry about timing belts.

Andy.
It should breath a lot better now, hopefully you removed the MAP sensor from the manifold before cleaning it out, I am sure you did knowing your occupation is a mechanic below is a photo of before & after cleaning th4e MAP sensor. Also a couple of the worst EGR & manifold I have seen clogged up with the black gunk.

I recently cleaned out four manifolds, & EGR/MAP for the last Nano meet.
