Inspected the nearside front hose myself today and there was a damp patch and hardly enough fluid to cover the tip of my little finger. As regards the airbag and bulb out warning lights that appeared after the MOT and not before, I sussed what these were. Under Seat wiring on drivers side and one rear fog lamp bulb. This was difficult to find as it wasn't the normal blown bulb. The bulb had actually fallen out and was rolling around inside the lamp. Why would this happen whilst the car was being MOT'd? Never happened before! Most annoying as it took me best part of 90 minutes looking for the faults!
